For over 30 years, D&J Tile has specialized in customized cutting, finishing and installation of dimensional stone and tile. As the Bay Area’s largest single source fabricator and installer, we offer a distinguished range of materials and expertise. Our specialists have an extensive amount of experience and use only state-of-the-art cutting and polishing machinery.
Our projects encompass everything from facades and exteriors to all aspects of interior stone and tile work. Whether it’s an expansion, new construction, or a complex renovation project, each job is staffed with a team of highly trained construction professionals and project management specialists.
Fabrication Facility

- Automated 5 axis CNC manufacturing capabilities for intricate edge work, carvings, and engraving.
- Brass, stainless, and stone inlays, plus custom mosaics.
- Multiple automated polishing lines for fast crisp edges.

- Two resin infusion and vacuum lamination stations for slabs

- Gantry Cranes, jib cranes, vacuum lifters & forklifts for safe material manipulation.

Finishes
POLISHED
Smooth extremely high gloss surface ideal for countertops and walls. Polished maintains full vibrance and color range of the stone.
HONED
Smooth low sheen surface with little to no reflection. Ideal for countertops, walls, and dry area floors. Honed tends to soften the brightness and color in the stone.
BRUSHED
Lightly textured surface with a slight satin sheen to it. Ideal for Countertops, walls, and any floors. Brushed will lightly reduce the vibrance in the stone colors.
Hydro
Can be a light or heavy texture created with water pressure. Hydro helps maintain the original color and vibrance of the stone. Ideal for Floors, walls, and countertops.
SAND BLASTED
Can be a light or heavy texture created by blasting the surface of the stone with sand. Sand blasted will hone the stone bringing down the color and vibrance of the stone. Ideal for floors, walls.
GROOVED
A highly custom pattern first drawn and then carved into the surface of the stone. Allows for an infinite combination of finishes. Honed and polished alternating grooves give a great color contrast. Ideal for walls and possible floors.
BUSH HAMMERED
A course hammered look brings heavy texture to any surface. Some white undertone will be brought out in the stone during processing.
LEATHERED
Light to heavy texture with some sheen. Distress is most visible at veins and density drops.
HYDRO DÉCOR
Custom Designs can be carved deep into the surface of certain soft materials creating a truly unique finish.

Hydro Finish Collection
Hydro finish is an innovative technology used to process the surface of different materials with high-pressure water jets (36,000 psi).
A rotating multi-nozzle body allows us to finish the surface of virtually any material by means of accelerated erosion.
Intended primarily for decorative and slip resistant purposes, Hydro allows the preservation of the materials original color with the ability to adjust the level of coarseness suitable for the desired application. From uniform Hydro surfaces to an infinite selection of patterns, custom artwork, and logos, any job can be made uniquely yours.
Completely Customizable
Thanks to the precision of CNC waterjet, Hydro Finish enables us to carve any pattern from our vast catalog of textures, to custom artwork, and logos.
One of a kind
The aesthetic effects Hydro Finish produces on the surface cannot be reproduced with other technologies, making every project uniquely yours.
Safe for the Environment
As a nature-friendly procedure, Hydro Finish’s water recycling system does not produce any smoke, heat or polluting liquid waste.
